In 2023, almost 199,000 tons of fish were caught in Uzbekistan
Compared to 2022, this indicator increased by 7.3%.
The largest volume of fish was caught in Khorezm (30.9 thousand tons), Tashkent (27.1 thousand tons) and Andijan (21.7 thousand tons) regions.
The share of the Khorezm region in the total catch was 15.6%.
The lowest catch rates were recorded in Kashkadarya (5 thousand tons), Surkhandarya (6.9 thousand tons) and Syrdarya (9.1 thousand tons) regions.
