Press tour: In Samarkand, more than 90 thousand hectares of land are cultivated with re-sowing

In the Samarkand region, a lot of work is being done to provide the domestic and foreign markets with cheap and high-quality agricultural and food products.

To obtain a bountiful harvest, it is important to carry out timely agrotechnical measures on agricultural crops. The control inspection of the agro-industrial complex was devoted to a press tour conducted by the administration of the Samarkand region in the Bulungur district, growing re-crops on land plots cleared of grain, as well as carrying out agrotechnical measures.

The press tour was attended by representatives of the press and mass media, social media bloggers and industry representatives.

At first, the participants were informed about the agrotechnical measures to care for re-crops grown on the main land plots intended for growing agricultural products, as well as on lands cleared of grain.

It was noted that agriculture and food production are of great importance, based on the supply and demand of the population, as well as the domestic and foreign markets.

For this purpose, 90,450 hectares of grain-free lands have been sown with repeated crops for the 2024 harvest in the regions of the region. Of these, 4 thousand 52 hectares of vegetables, 15 thousand hectares of potatoes, 35 thousand 96 hectares of leguminous crops and 36 thousand 303 hectares of food crops are cultivated; it is planned to grow 478 thousand 873 tons of agricultural products on these areas.

The Samarkand regional department and district departments of the Inspectorate carried out 870 control measures on repeated fields sown for the 2024 harvest. In order to prevent the identified violations, 16 representations were made, 624 warnings and 230 written instructions were given to farmers and farms, heads of cluster enterprises, - said the chief specialist of the Samarkand regional department of agricultural inspection Shakhriddin Butunov.

In total, for the 2024 harvest in the Bulungur district, 6 thousand 70 hectares of land cleared of grain were sown with repeated agricultural crops. Of these, 282 hectares of vegetables, 4 thousand 200 hectares of potatoes, 872 hectares of legumes and 716 hectares of food crops.

The Bulungur district inspection department carries out constant monitoring of the repeated fields sown for the 2024 harvest, and today all agrotechnical measures are carried out on time and efficiently.

In this area, the department carried out 182 control measures, the identified deficiencies are promptly and efficiently eliminated.

The main goal of growing repeated crops is to ensure the well-being of the population through the efficient use of lands free of grain.
