Uzbekistan has increased exports of fruits and vegetables by 43%

Uzbekistan exported more than 500 thousand tons of fruits and vegetables in the first quarter of 2024, according to a report from the Statistics Agency.

Exports are estimated at almost $300 million, which is 43.3% more than in the same period of 2023.
Fruits and vegetables accounted for 3.5% of the country's total exports during this period.

The main sales markets were Russia (26.3%), Pakistan (24.2%), Kazakhstan (13%) and China (9.3%).

Earlier it was reported that separate corridors will appear at large border checkpoints of Uzbekistan for the convenience of transporting fruits and vegetables. This applies to high-capacity points.

The corridors will be equipped with special signs and are intended mainly for vehicles exporting perishable products (onions, cabbage, cherries, apricots, etc.).
