Uzbekistan remains the top importer of Kazakh wheat
According to APK-Inform with reference to official statistics, in September-February 2023/2024, Kazakhstan exported 1.6 million tons of wheat to Uzbekistan (for 6 months of last season, this figure amounted to 1.529 million tons).
In particular, the February export figure was the highest in the last 4 months and amounted to about 296 thousand tons. At the same time, in February 2023, this volume was above 313.5 thousand tons.
Despite the low rainfall last year, 17 million tons of grain were harvested (22 million tons in 2022), including 12.1 million tons of wheat. These factors will not affect the export potential of the current year.
