New poultry farming projects worth 10 million dollars will be launched in Andijan

President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, during his visit to Andijan Region, familiarized himself with the operations of the "Sokin savdo servis" poultry cluster in Balykchi District.

Poultry meat occupies an important place in the population’s diet thanks to its dietary properties and affordable price. In this regard, Uzbekistan is paying special attention to the creation of large poultry complexes, the localization of production, and ensuring the market is supplied with quality products. The company "Sokin savdo servis", founded in 2010, today brings together 5 poultry farms in Andijan Region and 3 – in Namangan Region, while feed for them is produced at a plant in Tashkent Region.

The cluster has established a full production cycle covering feed production, poultry raising, slaughter, processing, packaging, and delivery of finished products to consumers. The total cost of the project is 29 million dollars, and 417 jobs have been created at the enterprise. At present, 1.5 million broiler chicks are being raised here. The production capacities make it possible to raise 8.2 million broilers annually and produce 20.6 thousand tons of poultry meat. The complex is capable of processing 55 thousand tons of chicken meat and semi-finished products annually in accordance with "Halal", HACCP and ISO standards.

Since the beginning of this year, the cluster has been developing its breeding direction: from a flock of 25 thousand laying hens, it is planned to obtain 7.6 million broiler chicks from 9 million eggs per year. By the end of 2027, the enterprise will launch a waste processing line and introduce a multi-tier cage system for poultry keeping, allocating 10 million dollars for these purposes. In addition, it has been proposed to unite the region’s idle and struggling farms into a single cooperation system, which will make it possible to restore from 350 to 400 jobs and additionally raise 1.7 million birds.
