Uzbekistan plans to implement projects using AI in animal husbandry and horticulture

President Shavkat Mirziyoyev reviewed a presentation on providing agriculture with specialized machinery and the broad introduction of digital technologies into the sector.

The presentation outlined measures to deliver modern banking services and implement solutions based on digital technologies and artificial intelligence.

It was reported that while in 2025 JSCB “Agrobank” issued loans totaling 1.6 trillion soums for agricultural machinery, this year the figure is planned to increase to 3.9 trillion soums. Automation of lending processes will reduce the financing period from three days to three hours, the statement said.

It was noted that clients will be provided with comprehensive agricultural services. One agro-service zone will be established in each region, staffed by an agricultural agent. In these zones, farmers will be able to receive banking and consulting services in one place, use monitoring services, soil analysis, seedling delivery, agronomist consultations, and obtain information about training courses.

The bank’s plans were also reviewed to implement pilot projects using artificial intelligence in livestock farming, horticulture, and “smart” water management, as well as to establish a new venture company with an authorized capital of 100 billion soums to finance agricultural startups.

The Head of State instructed responsible officials to further expand agricultural mechanization, develop domestic production and services, and improve monitoring and financial services through digital platforms.
