IEA: Russian gas exports to Uzbekistan via Kazakhstan exceeded 7 billion cubic meters
Supplies of Russian gas to Uzbekistan via the Central Asia–Center pipeline system increased by 30% in 2025, according to the International Energy Agency (IEA).
According to the agency’s report, the total volume of Russian gas exports to Uzbekistan via Kazakhstan exceeded 7 billion cubic meters, reflecting a significant expansion of supplies from Russia.
At the same time, Uzbekistan recorded a decline in domestic gas production. Over the first 11 months of 2025, output fell by 4.5%, or approximately 2 billion cubic meters, compared to the same period of the previous year.
