Since the beginning of the year, Uzbekistan has exported fruits and vegetables worth a billion dollars

The export volume amounted to almost one and a half million tons.

Since the beginning of 2025, Uzbekistan has exported more than 1.4 million tons of fruits and vegetables worth more than $1.2 billion, according to data from the National Statistics Committee.

According to the information, from January to August, the volume of exports of fruits and vegetables from the country increased by 7.3% compared to the same period in 2024. In monetary terms, the volume increased by 27.6% or $273.8 million.

It is noted that in total exports amounted to 5.5%. At the same time, raisins, cherries and apricots became some of the most popular fruits for export, and among vegetables - onions, cabbage and tomatoes.

Earlier it was reported that the president called on embassies and consulates general to more actively help in increasing exports. In 2025, 80% of fruit and vegetable exports will come from just five countries.
