Surkhandarya exported 44 thousand tons of agricultural products in 2025
From January to April 2025, agricultural enterprises of the Surkhandarya region of the Uzbekistan were exported by 44 thousand tons of vegetables and fruits. The total cost of deliveries amounted to $ 41.3 million, as reported in the regional administration. These data show that the agricultural sector of the region continues to actively develop, ensuring products of products to international markets.
The main area of exports was Russia, which took 34 percent of the entire agricultural products of the region. In second place was Pakistan, who purchased 29 percent of the total. The third position was taken by Afghanistan, which accounted for 22 percent of the supply. In addition, products from Surkhandarya were sent to Kazakhstan and Belarus, which emphasizes the wide geographical coverage of export routes.
Agricultural producers of the region are betting on a variety of products. Among the exported goods are fresh vegetables and fruits that are in demand due to their quality. For example, mainly tomatoes, cucumbers and fruits, such as grapes and grenades, are delivered to Russia. Pakistan and Afghanistan are more often bought by vegetable crops, including onions and carrots. Kazakhstan and Belarus also show interest in these goods, which allows the region to expand sales markets.
Work on increasing exports in Surkhandarya is systematically conducted. Local authorities actively support farmers, providing access to modern technologies and helping with the organization of logistics. This allows not only to increase production volumes, but also to provide stable supplies abroad. According to Khokimiyat, in the first four months of 2025, the export indicators of the region show steady growth compared to last year.
The Surkhandarya region is known for its grenades, which are exported to more than 10 countries of the world. This fruit is valued for the high content of antioxidants and is considered a symbol of fertility in the region.
