The Government has adopted a decree "On Additional Measures to Support the Lemon Industry in the Republic" (No. 198 of 02.04.2025).

According to the decree, the following measures are established:

Construction of compact greenhouses in residential areas and on leased lands in districts specializing in lemon cultivation, and their sale with installment payments for up to 7 years with a 3-year grace period;

Import and installation of equipment for producing lemon jam, marmalade, and lemonade from foreign countries, and providing it to entrepreneurs on a leasing basis;

Rehabilitation of lemon-growing farms under favorable conditions through refinancing of current loans and interest liabilities.

Additionally, one neighborhood in the Naryn, Shahrisabz, Uchqupirk, and Denau districts will specialize in growing lemon seedlings based on a scientifically justified approach, and 1 million quality lemon seedlings will be grown in these areas.

By the end of 2025, a complete inventory of lemon cultivation areas in dehkan (farmer) farms and household plots will be conducted, and the data will be entered into the "Online Mahalla" electronic platform.

Moreover, a competition will be announced for targeted fundamental, practical, and innovative projects aimed at creating cold- and drought-resistant lemon varieties and intensively increasing their seedlings.
