Uzbekistan jointly with China launches a center for high agricultural technologies
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — In the Yukori-Chirchik district of the Tashkent region, the foundation of the national Uzbek agrotechnopark of high technologies in agriculture Yangling was laid.
The project is being implemented jointly by the government of Uzbekistan and the Chinese company Yangling Modern Agriculture International Cooperation Group Co., Ltd. with the aim of creating a modern agro-industrial center combining advanced agricultural technologies, science and production.
The 116.5-hectare site will include industrial and demonstration sites, drone and robotics testing centers, smart irrigation systems, 3D seeding laboratories and cold chain logistics infrastructure.
In addition, based on the experience of China, Japan and Italy, together with scientists from Uzbekistan, new varieties of cotton, wheat, rice, corn and grapes will be created. It is planned to grow and process tomatoes, nuts and dried fruits on 500 hectares, as well as sowing durum wheat and producing finished products on 5 thousand hectares.
As a result, new jobs will be created, export potential will increase, and Uzbekistan will reach a new level of integration of science, technology and production in agriculture.
