A Deputy Minister of Water Resources of Uzbekistan has been appointed
Zakir Ishpulatov has been appointed as the Deputy Minister of Water Resources and the Director of the Agency for the Operation of Water Management Facilities. This was reported by the Ministry's press service.
Before the appointment, Ishpulatov worked as the Chief Specialist of the Secretariat for Investments, Export, Trade, Agriculture, and Water Resources of the Cabinet of Ministers.
He graduated as a hydroengineer from the Tashkent Institute of Irrigation and Melioration in 2005 and completed his master's degree at the same institute in 2009. Ishpulatov also holds a PhD in Technical Sciences.
The Deputy Minister – Director of the Agency for the Operation of Water Resources is tasked with ensuring water supply and rational use of water resources based on approved limits, regulating the operation of pumping stations, and taking measures to reduce electricity consumption.
