Plans for the development of poultry and livestock farming presented
On January 21, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev familiarized himself with the presentation of measures to develop poultry farming and the efficient use of pastures. These industries play an important role in ensuring food security and the availability of food products. Thanks to the conditions created in recent years and the projects implemented, productivity indicators are steadily growing. In order to maintain and increase these rates, this year it is planned to increase the volume of poultry meat production to 1 million tons, and eggs - to 10.5 billion pieces. Exports are planned to double, to 180 million dollars.
In livestock farming, it is planned to put into operation 1,350 projects, procure 3.2 million tons of meat, obtain over 13 million tons of milk, 30 percent of which will be processed industrially.
The presentation considered proposals for achieving the planned indicators.
In particular, the country has begun organizing first-order breeding work on the selection of meat poultry. Together with foreign companies, it is planned to extend this experience to egg poultry farming.
There are successful examples of cooperation in the poultry industry in Andijan, Namangan, Samarkand and Khorezm regions. Thanks to this, both the population receives income and the industry's enterprises operate successfully.
For example, the Yeti Khazina enterprise in the Kushrabat district provides a family with vaccinated poultry, cages and feed, and then purchases the eggs produced.
It was noted that it is necessary to organize such projects throughout the country, increasing production and jobs. 50 million dollars will be allocated for these purposes.
Instructions were also given on the financial recovery and improvement of the work of poultry enterprises that have temporarily ceased operations or are operating at reduced capacity.
Pastures are another significant source of wealth for the population. However, almost half of them are not used. The reasons are that seed production of pasture plants is not developed, there are not enough water bodies and wells, in addition, digital accounting and a rental system for such areas have not been established.
In this regard, it is proposed to transfer pastures to the Committee for Veterinary and Livestock Development. An electronic map "E-yaylov" will be created, where all the sites will be entered. It will clearly reflect which territories are intended for livestock farming, crops or geological exploration projects.
In seven regions where the largest pastures are concentrated, it is planned to create pasture farms, which, like forestry, will be responsible for the preservation and effective use of these lands. The lands in such farms will be leased to the population for 30 years through auctions for livestock farming, growing pistachio and almond trees.
The head of state approved these initiatives and gave instructions to bring pastures out of the state of degradation, create additional wells and develop seed production of pasture plants.
It was noted that a pilot project for the orderly grazing of 1 million sheep on an area of 500 thousand hectares of pastures will be launched this year.
The meeting also discussed issues of financial support for livestock and poultry enterprises. The importance of increasing employment and reducing poverty through the implementation of new projects and cooperation was noted.
