Shavkat Mirziyoyev got acquainted with the agrovoltaic technology introduced in Kuva

Agrovoltaica allows on one plot to simultaneously grow agricultural products and generate electricity using solar panels.

This approach is especially effective for the conditions of Uzbekistan, where there are many sunny days. According to calculations, the potential of this area in Uzbekistan reaches 10 gigawatts. The panels create shade for plants, help retain moisture in the soil longer and reduce water consumption. In turn, the crops maintain optimal ground temperatures and increase the efficiency of solar modules.

The complex has also introduced advanced water-saving technologies. In particular, a sprinkler irrigation system is used based on technology from the Austrian company Bauer. It ensures a uniform supply of water to the fields, helps maintain soil moisture, accurately apply fertilizers and increase productivity.

This technology was previously tested on farms in the republic and showed high efficiency: water consumption was reduced by 40 percent, fertilizer by 35 percent, manual labor by 90 percent, and yield increased by 25 percent.

The 110-hectare complex combines intensive horticulture, livestock and fish farming. This is one of the first agricultural complexes in the country to introduce renewable energy sources and water-saving technologies.

There are 10 thousand solar panels installed on the territory. They not only generate electricity, but also help retain moisture in the soil, creating shade for plants. Electricity is used to saturate fish ponds with oxygen, and the water from them, enriched with minerals, is used to feed vineyards and orchards.

Having familiarized himself with the activities of the complex, the head of state also inspected the process of processing and monitoring crops using agrodrones.
