Uzbekistan plans to create meat production enterprises in the Vitebsk region of Belarus
Uzbekistan plans to create beef production enterprises in the Glubokoe district of the Vitebsk region of Belarus. This was discussed at a meeting of the delegation of the Kashkadarya region of the Republic of Uzbekistan with the leadership of the Vitebsk region,reportsBelTA.During the three-day trip, the Uzbek side visited a number of agricultural enterprises in Vitebsk, Vitebsk, Gluboksky, Ushachi and Sharkovshchinsky districts and got acquainted with their activities.
“Relations between Uzbekistan and Belarus are expanding and developing year after year. We came to the Vitebsk region to establish relations on food security. Our goal is to buy your meat, meat products, milk, milk powder and supply you with fruits and vegetables - dried fruits, watermelons, melons and more,” said Shakhrier Khamzaev, head of the department of the Department of Investment, Industry and Trade of the Kashkadarya region khokimiyat.
He added that contracts have already been concluded with the Vitebsk meat processing plant, the Glubokoe meat processing plant and the dairy canning plant. Beef meat is planned to be supplied to Uzbekistan. The initial volume is 100 tons per month.
"The meeting also discussed the prospects for creating beef production enterprises in the Vitebsk region. The Uzbek side was interested in the territory of the Glubokoe district for these purposes. At the initial stage, it is planned to raise 1 thousand heads, in the future - up to 10 thousand heads," the message says.
The Uzbek delegation also expressed interest in joint cooperation: it is ready to export fruits and vegetables to the Vitebsk region, which, in turn, will supply baby food to Uzbekistan.
“There are a lot of areas for cooperation, we are ready to further deepen relations with the Vitebsk region,” emphasized Shahrier Khamzaev.
