Measures for uninterrupted gas supply will be developed for greenhouses in Tashkent and the Tashkent region

Responsible departments have been instructed to develop comprehensive measures to ensure stable gas supply and introduce energy-efficient heating technologies.

To ensure stable and uninterrupted gas supply to greenhouse farms in Tashkent and the Tashkent region, comprehensive organizational and technical measures will be developed by the end of the year, follows from the presidential decree.

The Ministry of Energy, the khokimiyats of the city of Tashkent and the Tashkent region, the Ministry of Economy and Finance, as well as the National Committee on Ecology and Climate Change were entrusted with developing these measures.

In particular, it is proposed to analyze the needs of existing greenhouse farms for natural gas, their current capacities and possibilities for connecting to networks.

In addition, the responsible departments are instructed to:

  • study the technical condition and available capacities of gas distribution networks in the areas where greenhouse farms are located;
  • study the existing problems of uninterrupted supply of natural gas, issues of limits and tariffs;
  • take measures to prevent existing interruptions in the operation of greenhouse farms.

It was also instructed to ensure the introduction of energy-efficient heating technologies, the rational use of natural gas and the expansion of the use of alternative energy sources (biogas, solar energy, etc.).
