Uzbekistan and Serbia strengthen cooperation in the agricultural sector
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Representatives of the Ministry of Agriculture of Uzbekistan held a meeting with the delegation of the Republic of Serbia led by the Minister of International Economic Cooperation Nenad Popovic.
During the negotiations, the parties discussed the prospects for strengthening bilateral ties in the agricultural sector and outlined new areas of cooperation. Before the meeting, an analysis of current opportunities for the import and export of agricultural products was carried out, and the need to increase the volume of mutual trade turnover was emphasized.
Particular attention was paid to the development of science and innovation in the agricultural sector, advanced processing of fruits and vegetables, as well as expanding digitalization of the industry.
As part of educational cooperation, sending students and specialists to advanced training and experience exchange programs was discussed, which would create a sustainable system of educational exchange and master advanced foreign approaches.
Following the meeting, the parties proposed joint projects in the field of viticulture and winemaking, as well as strengthening technological cooperation and exchange of experience.
An agreement was reached to take the strategic partnership in the agricultural sector to a new level with the implementation of specific plans and initiatives in mutually beneficial directions.
