Uzbekistan Approves Green Energy Agreement with Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan
President Shavkat Mirziyoyev ratified the agreement on strategic partnership between Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan in the field of development and transfer of "green" energy, the Ministry of Justice reports.
The Ministry of Energy has been appointed as the authorized body responsible for the implementation of the international agreement.
The Cabinet of Ministers, heads of relevant ministries and departments will ensure control over the implementation of the provisions of the international agreement after its entry into force.
As part of the agreement, the transmission of produced "green" energy through the Caspian Sea will be organized, and the project will be linked to an energy cable connecting the Black Sea.
During the implementation, tens of thousands of jobs will be created, the energy infrastructure will receive new development, and technological and business ties will also expand.
